Cheeverstown is a voluntary organisation, accredited by the Council on Quality and Leadership and regulated by the Health Information & Quality Authority (HIQA).

We provide a wide range of person centred services including residential, respite and day services to almost 400 children and adults with an intellectual disability in the south Dublin area. We are now inviting applicants for the following post:


Permanent, Full-Time 37 hours

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Speech and Language Therapy Manager in
co-ordinating the service to meet the needs of persons with an intellectual disability and with the
objectives of the organisation. The successful candidate will work primarily with children with an
intellectual disability within the context of an interdisciplinary team, and will move towards the
structures of Progressing Disabilities as this programme rolls out in Dublin South.
The successful candidate for this position will possess:

 A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy approved by the Department of
    Health and Children.
 Experience working with feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing disorders.
 Lámh Module One certification
 Access to car and full drivers licence
 CORU registration

 Experience in working in an intellectual disability setting.
 Experience in working with AAC and/or AT.
 An understanding of models of person-centred planning.
 Hanen training.
 Lámh tutor training.
