Posted by | Administration Officer | Date: 02 Nov 2017 | 10:50am

Dear Colleague,

The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) and the Mental Health Commission (MHC) have today published new National Standards for the Conduct of Reviews of Patient Safety Incidents.

A copy of the standards can be accessed at www.hiqa.ie and www.mhcirl.ie and the press release can be viewed here http://bit.ly/2xmo2ux.

They will be launched by the Minister for Health, Mr Simon Harris TD, at the National Patient Safety Office Conference today.

These National Standards promote a person-centred approach to the review of patient safety incidents and set clear timelines within which reviews must be completed.

Yours sincerely,

Rachel Flynn
