Webinar 4: Functional Assessment of Capacity Webinar Series 2022

The National Office for Human Rights and Equality Policy based in Strategy and Research was established to support health and social care services to prepare for the commencement of the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 which is scheduled for June 2022. The role of this office is to build the capacity and capability of staff to achieve compliance with human rights policy and legislation.

The webinar series will focus on topics related to the Assisted Decision Making Capacity Act 2015. These topics were selected based on feedback from a recent survey where healthcare staff identified topics would be most useful for their practice.

The objectives of the webinar series are to:

  • Stimulate discussion about practical implementation of the 2015 Act
  • Provide guidance to services and practitioners
  • Identify areas of uncertainty and learning needs
  • Explore case studies with the framework of the 2015 Act
