Continuing Professional Development Administrator 

12 Month Part Time Contract: 22 hours per week

 

The Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT) seek to appoint a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Administrator. The IASLT is the recognised professional association of Speech & Language Therapists in Ireland. The association strives to provide up-to-date information for the general public to aid in the understanding of common speech and language disorders and to increase awareness of available services. IASLT also provides detailed information for SLTs currently working or considering work in Ireland.

 

Description:  The purpose of this role is to provide administrative functions to facilitate Speech and Language Therapists in Ireland to maintain and develop competence and standards in their professional practice.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the IASLT Professional Development Manager to promote a culture of lifelong learning and continuous professional development within the IASLT.
  • Determine and prioritise CPD needs of the profession
  • Manage communication to IASLT members regarding CPD 
  • Oversee administration of CPD events in terms of planning, event logistics and managing feedback
  • Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics and current legislation
  • Manage online IASLT CPD activity including communication regarding CPD events, and promotion of the IASLT Online CPD Portfolio

 

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • 2 years Experience working in an administrative role
  • Experience in project and/or event management
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong team working skills
