My name is Aksa Rajesh and I am a Senior Sophister student studying Clinical Speech and Language Studies in Trinity College Dublin. I am currently beginning a research project titled “Opportunities and Barriers for the Implementation of Intensive Comprehensive Aphasia Programmes (ICAPs): Irish SLT perspectives” as part of my undergraduate degree. This project is being completed under the supervision of Ms Amy Rennie, Teaching Fellow in Aphasia at TCD.
This project aims to explore the awareness and perceptions of Irish SLTs regarding ICAPs and to examine if SLTs feel it would be feasible to implement ICAPs in their setting and whether they feel there are any barriers to ICAP implementation in the Irish context.
This project received ethical approval from the Research Ethics Committee of the School of Linguistic, Speech & Communication Science on 16/05/2023.
Participation in this project will involve completion of an online questionnaire on Qualtrics. This questionnaire should not take any longer than 15 minutes to complete. The questionnaire will be completed anonymously and all data collected will be kept strictly confidential. No personal or sensitive information will be sought in the questionnaire.
