DLD SIG Gathering: Celebrating the journey so far and connecting for the future

In-person study day hosted by IASLT, facilitated by DLD SIG in University of Limerick (10.00am - 4pm)

(Please arrive from 9.45 to sign in for the day as session will start promptly at 10.00 am.)

Morning Session (10-1): DLD SIG study morning for SLTs, (more details to follow on speakers)

  • Presentations on research studies into language development and multilingualism and a communication-friendly classroom tool for use in Irish schools.
  • Opportunities for group discussions and updates from DLD SIG committee/working group

Afternoon Session (2-4):
'Celebrating the power of the collective in raising awareness of DLD' (all stakeholders welcome)

  • Input from international RADLD committee
  • Multi-stakeholder experiences of the journey so far in raising awareness of DLD
  • Facilitated group discussions on exploring future priorities for DLD advocacy and campaigning, and priorities for service, policy, practice and research in Ireland in relation to meeting the needs of this population.

Tea/coffee and lunch provided

Places will be limited and will be allocated on 1st come 1st served basis.

The fees for this event are:

  • €10 for members of both IASLT AND DLD SIG
  • €15 for members of IASLT OR DLD SIG
  • €20 for non-members
