About the hosts:


Dr. Ciaran Kenny, PhD, completed B.Sc. (DCU) in 2002, M.Sc. in Speech and Language Therapy (UL) in 2009, worked as Senior SLT in Tallaght Hospital for 6 years, areas of clinical specialism were dysphagia, and voice disorders, especially in critical care and ENT populations. PhD Title was 'Dysphagia in adults with solid malignancies outside the head, neck and upper gastrointestinal tract'. Presented findings at national and international conferences, as well as peer-reviewed journals. Appointed as Assistant Professor in Dept. of Clinical Speech and Language Studies in Trinity College Dublin in Sept. 2018. Coordinator and Lecturer for the postgraduate programme.


Dr. Patricia Gillivan-Murphy is a Clinical Specialist (Voice) at Voice and Swallowing Clinic at the Mater Hospital. Patricia is passionate about the larynx in voice, swallowing, and upper airways disorders. Strong interest in clinical research, and a great advocate for SLTs using nasoendoscopy for assessment and treatment.
