Presenters include

Sophie Furey MSc.,CSLS: is a senior SLT who is currently working on a reablement team in St. Columcille’s hospital. Sophie has experience working with people with dementia across settings in primary care, on a care of the elderly ward and in a long-term care setting. Sophie is a dementia champion and trainer in talking mats and has a particular interest in supporting the people with cognitive communication difficulties in decision making.

Suzanna Dooley PhD., CSLS. MIASLT:  is a clinical specialist SLT in dementia in St. Columcille’s Hospital.  Her teaching, practice and research focuses on the assessment of cognitive communication disorders in dementia and the development of conversation coaching interventions for people with dementia and their supporters. She completed here PhD in 2020 and currently teaches the UG level dementia course in TCD.  She has developed the Profiling Communication Abilities in Dementia (P-CAD) assessment which is in production. She lives in Dublin with her husband, twins and two dogs.

Emma Finch BSc CSLS: is a senior SLT working in the Mater Hospital. She has also worked in various hospital and community trusts in London. She completed her BSC in TCD and is completing her MSc in UCC. She is particularly interested in providing communication interventions to people with dementia in acute care settings.
