To commemorate those early days, the IASLT staged an exhibition of memorabilia at the 2019 Conference with a glance over ‘The Early Days’, curated by the IASLT History Committee.
Graduates contributed enthusiastically from their collections of books, objects, therapy materials and photos to the occasion.
The History Committee created an online "flipbook" which is a snapshot of aspects of of the exhibition, celebrating some important elements of those foundation years of our profession.
IASLT wish to acknowledge the dedication of History Committee Chairperson, Pamela Rogers and members Margaret Leahy, Judi Thornton Margaret Creevey, Noreen Keane and Duana Quigley for curating and creating this nostalgic and valuable historical record of Speech and Language Therapy in Ireland.
