In response to member's requests for support in making ethical decisions. we bring you this very practical course. Inform your practice as an SLT so that you can make wise decisions when faced with the many ethical dilemmas that SLTs are confronted with in contemporary practice settings. This training course is being facilitated by Lindy McAllister, SLP, Ethicist, Author and Professor Emerita of the University of Sydney, Australia, who is in a unique position to understand the perspective of Speech and Language Therapists.
Will be a workshop / presentation exploring ethics and their relevance to SLT practice. Participants will be invited to email Lindy a short and de-identified description of an ethical problem before the event and she will select a couple of these for discussion re decision making during the session.
Will provide an opportunity to discuss ethical issues/concerns from therapists' own practice experience. that attendees at the first session may have wished to discuss with the group (in a de-identified way). People attending the second session should have attended the first session.
