Introduction to Cluttering with SLT Christine Tournier - 12th May 2026

Introduction to Cluttering with SLT Christine Tournier - 12th May 2026

Registration is now open for an online CPD event: "Introduction to Cluttering" with SLT Christine Tournier.

In this 4-hour online workshop, Christine will present a framework based on the approach developed by Yvonne Van Zaalen, Isabella Reichel and Katherine Scaler-Scott.

Cluttering is often misunderstood or misidentified. We often see clients who are said to ‘speak too fast', are unintelligible, whose friends and family ask them frequently to repeat themselves. Sometimes, these clients go without having their cluttering diagnosed which means they do not get the care they need.

Topics covered during the workshop:

  • Definitions of cluttering (first-person perspective, comparative frameworks, and video examples)
  • Theoretical framework: the Levelt model
  • Assessment and treatment practices
  • Intervention principles in speech and language therapy, including case study highlights
  • Resources for further learning

Workshop Details:

  Tuesday 12th May
  9:00am – 1:30pm
  Online
  €25 (+ booking fee)

Please note: The SIG AGM will also take place during the coffee break, 11:00–11:30am.
