SIG in Stammering Online Workshop - Understanding the CARE™ Model - 16th & 17th October

The SIG in Stammering is delighted to announce an upcoming free online workshop for SIG members on 16th and 17 October from 2-4pm.

SIG membership is also free. If you are not yet a member, you can request a membership form when applying for the workshop.

To attend, please contact Mary O’Dwyer at mary.odwyer@hse.ie for an application form before 26th September.

This workshop will focus on understanding the CARE™ model, developed at the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research. The model emphasises:

  • Community – building supportive networks
  • Acceptance – embracing stammering as part of identity
  • Resilience – developing confidence and coping skills
  • Education – equipping people who stammer, their families, and professionals with knowledge about stammering.

We are very pleased to welcome Professor Courtney Byrd who is Founding Executive Director of the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering and internationally recognised for her work in stuttering education and research.
