Selective Mutism Online Training facilitated by Maggie Johnson

This workshop is aimed at speech and language therapists who are new to working with children and young people presenting with features of Selective Mutism, or for those who seek a refresher course on this topic. This training will is based on an introductory level to Selective Mutism. Training will take place over 2 half-days on the mornings of Friday 15th & 22nd July 2022. This course will not be recorded.

By the end of the course, participants will:

Understand the nature and causes of selective mutism (SM)
Be familiar with the principles of assessment and differential diagnosis of SM
Know how to implement an inclusive 24/7 approach to SM management with a range of informal techniques that promote well-being and participation
