My name is Grace McLoughlin and I am in 4th year of Clinical Speech and Language Studies in Trinity College Dublin.
I am writing to you in regards to a research project I am currently undergoing entitled ‘Exploring speech and language therapists perspectives of therapeutic alliance construction with school aged children who stutter and their parents: a qualitative study.’
We are doing this study to explore the role of therapeutic alliance in Speech and Language Therapy, with particular attention to stuttering therapy in school aged children. This study wants to specifically explore Speech and Language Therapists perceptions of this topic. This project is being carried out as part of a final year research project in the course of Clinical Speech and Language Studies.
You have been invited to take part because you are a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, with 3 years of working experience including experience with school ages children who stutter.
We aim to have 8-10 people involved in this study.

The study will take place in one 30 minute interview with Grace McLoughlin, the Principal Investigator. If you decide to participate you will be interviewed in a location of your preference: Zoom call or a meeting in the CSLS building, South Leinster Street, Dublin 1.
