Preparing spoken language interpreters to work with children who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families

Investigators: Dr Elizabeth Mathews & Dr Sylwia Kazmierczak-Murray

The purpose of this research is to better understand the experiences, challenges, and solutions to challenges that are involved in collaboration between health and education professionals and spoken language interpreters when providing early intervention services to the families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. The findings from this study will be used to develop resources that early intervention professionals can use to improve collaboration with the spoken language interpreters and families with whom they work.
