My name is Kerrie Jones, I am a final year student currently undertaking a degree in Bachelor of Clinical Speech and Language Studies at Trinity College Dublin.
As part of my final year project, I am investigating practice patterns of Speech and Language Therapists assessing and managing dysphagia in people with Atypical Parkinsonian Syndrome (APS), which is a group of disorders including Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Dementia with Lewy Bodies and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD).
The intended participants are Speech and Language Therapists who have been involved in dysphagia care in clients with any of the above Atypical Parkinsonian Syndromes within the past 5 years. This information will be gathered through a short online survey that takes 10 minutes.
This research study is being supervised by Dr Julia Hirschwald Assistant Professor at the Department of Clinical Speech and Language studies, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Ethical approval was obtained from the research ethics committee.
The survey is anonymous and will be open until 15/10/26 . Your help would be really appreciated.
